Break dancing

On Tuesday nights my brother goes to BYU campus to join their break dancing club on the dance floor. I hadn't been to campus in years and it was a little strange to be back. I took William with me to watch Jake break dance and mom also came along. Jake's family goes each time to support him. Along with the break dancing there are other dance clubs that meet and practice in different ballrooms. We watch a swing dance, ballroom and latin dance club. But William's favorite was the break dancing. Now my opinion was that he liked it cause it was the only one playing music. The others we just teaching steps. William kept asking me to take him back to the "big one." When I dragged him to watch some of the other groups again he told me "Ok Mommy but we're only going to stay here for a little bit then we need to go back." He held up his fingers to illustrate how little we could stay. I wandered around a bit and left William with mom and when I came back I saw him dancing his heart out on the floor. Mom recorded it. He was so cute! He had been watching everyone and was trying to do what they were doing. It was precious.

First snow of the season

The first snow of the season came on Tuesday. William was SO excited to get out and play in it. Last time he had seen and played in it was December 2008. This was Matthew's first experience with the white stuff. He wasn't so sure about it. William and I had a blast throwing snowballs at each other. Matthew didn't mind hitting the snow but that was it. Once lunch was over and nap time came the boys had no problem falling asleep, especially William.

Discovery Gateway Children's Museum

We took a trip up to Salt Lake to visit the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. The unfortunate thing was the only time we could go was on Saturday when Eric didn't work, and that was the busy time when everyone goes. The boys were a bit intimidated by the crowds and noise but soon things died down and we moved to areas where there weren't so many people.

Samuel was so good and just watched all the excitement from his stroller.



One of the main attractions is the Life Flight helicopter they have on the roof. The boys played with the control panel and other instruments.

Eric pushed a button that made the sound of the rotor blades and William got scared thinking it was going to take off with him.

We all enjoyed playing with the magnet shapes (can't remember name of brand) and building different designs with them.
At the end we stayed for about an hour and a half and had seen and done all that we could do. It was a bit expensive, $6.50 per person with a $2 off coupon and only Samuel was free.
Overall we did have a good time.
Also while we were up in SLC we stopped by our favorite donghut store, Banbury Cross, and each enjoyed some delicious, fresh doughnuts. Once those were consumed we drove passed our old condo and noticed that it was empty. We reminisced about the good times we had there and somewhat seriously talked about buying it back if we had the money.

Matthew can't walk down the stairs. So he found a quicker way to get down. Good job putting that belly to work!

Fall Pictures

We took a drive up to Sundance to take some family photos. My mom came along to take the pictures and get the boys attention. There weren't as many fall leaves around as I hoped but we did get some great shots.









Note: If you look closely you can see a mark on the right side of William's face. He had a run in with the corner of the couch the morning of the shot. Of course.

Pumpkin Picking

Disclaimer: Just like a pumpkin patch there were lots of pictures to choose from.

The whole family took a drive south to Santaquin to a place called Rowley's South Ridge Farms. We managed to tag along with a preschool group to pick pumpkins and got to take a hay ride out to the patch. Had we not joined them we would have had to select ones that were in the store.

Four Years

On Saturday we celebrated William's fourth birthday. Early on he requested a Batman themed party. We allowed William to choose the food for his party. He picked Peanut butter and honey sandwiches, goldfish, graham crackers, and Cheetos. We added a veggie platter, crackers and cheese and cantaloupe.

Thanks to the holiday season I was able to find a bat cookie cutter to make these cut out sandwiches.

We used trick candles on William's cake. Only two relite but William managed to eventually blow them out. Look at those cheeks!

Thanks to all those who came and celebrated William's birthday with us.

William fun facts:
-He participated in his first Primary Program at church. We were so proud of him! He only knew about half the songs but one came up that he knew he sang his heart out. He also said his one liner loud and clear into the mic "I know that Jesus loves me."
-He is all boy. He likes "boy stuff" with includes tools, action figures, blues and greens. He is always on the move which explains the bruises that he seems to get everyday.
-He talks VERY well. From the moment he wakes up. His imagination is also in over drive. He talks about monsters, makes up stories and likes to ask us "why?"
-He still is a wonderful big brother. He loves playing with Matthew and is very protective of Matthew and Samuel. He helps us get their clothes, diapers and toys. They are all very close.
William is a joy in our lives and we are enjoying each stage he takes us through.
