June trips

This month has flown by for us!! We've played lots and made some great memories.

The boys discovered that certain areas of the wall have metal underneath thus providing a great place to hang their magformers.
We found that Matthew has a bald spot on the back of his head. Seriously there is no hair follicles in that one area!
Rebecca learned that she can take her toys with her from place to place if she uses her mouth.
Grandma time!
"Take a picture Mommy! I look cool!" -Matthew
Samuel and Lewis played together really well! They just hung out together in the room, playing with Legos and having a great time. No fighting or caring what the older kids were doing. Just having a great time.
Auntie Meme gave Rebecca her first pedicure. Rebecca picked the color by grabbing the bottle and not letting go.

Fun time with Nai Nai.

May

May was a busy month for us. My picture folder is full. Here's a few highlights of what we did.

Rebecca learned to clap! She looks so cute when she does it. She also learned that I can't resist picking her up and cuddling her when she claps, so when she gets fussy and starts to cry she also claps and hopes that I come get her.
She's also standing and pulling herself up on things. She doesn't seem interested in walking just yet but she can reach for lots of new things now. Sidenote: Rebecca out grew each of these outfits in one month. She's getting big!

The kids and I went to visit my mom in Utah for 10 days. On the first day there we went up to Bridal Veil Falls one of my favorite areas. It was beautiful there.

Have you heard about our fish story? It's really funny.

Mom invited a sister in the ward to entertain the kids with balloons one evening. I thought they'd be bored after 15 minutes. She stayed two hours and the boys were so happy she did! Clare made swords, Spiderman, fish on a fishing pole, flower hats, octopus, giraffe, pig, and a few other ones that I can't remember. It was great fun!

One of our favorite places to stop at while in Utah is Banbury Cross Donuts. We we're thinking of Eric while we took this picture. And I just have to mention that another of my must go to places is Golden Phoenix for Chinese food. I've been going there for 13 years, since I was a student at BYU. Although there may be other places that are cheaper and are more upscale I love my house special pan fried noodles and have get some while we're in town. The sad thing is that my children don't appreciate it as much as I do but that leaves more for me!

With all the Hsu cousins together we grabbed a few group shots.

The last day in May was William's last soccer game. We missed two games and three practices while we were out of town but William was excited and pumped to get back to it. Papa and Grandma came down the night before and stayed for William's game.

Usually William plays defense on game day. He likes that he doesn't have to run around as much. But being the last game Coach had all the kids rotating through various positions. William got to play in every position, defense, offense and goalie. The highlight was William scoring his first ever goal! He was so happy! It made it even more special that Grandma and Papa were there to share in the experience.

As soon as we were done William was asking if he could play again next year. It has been a great experience for him and us as a family. I'm proud of how much he's learned and his attitude through the whole thing.
