Matthew turns TWO!

Part one of our 2 'n' 1 birthday party



We celebrated Matthew's second birthday with a bunch of friends, old and new, had finger food and made lots of noise. We can't believe Matthew is only two. He's a solid boy and so looks big for his age. He is still very sweet and plays shy with people he doesn't know. He still doesn't talk except for the word "no" which he says to everything. He is all boy. He loves to play fighting games with William, either with guns or swords. His favorite things are hats, horses and Thomas the train. He has also started coloring more and enjoys joining William for coloring time. He is also very protective of Samuel. He'll see Samuel near the stairs and will tell him "no" and shake his finger at him. Matthew still adores his little brother. The other day Matthew was crawling after Samuel and every time they stopped Matthew kissed Samuel's head.
Matthew is our sweet, mellow boy and we love him very much!

Sleepy Matthew

We go to church from 11-2pm, which is nap time for the boys and myself. William can do without naps but Matthew and Samuel struggle when they miss it. Samuel can usually fall asleep at church but Matthew stays awake. But as soon as we come home he starts nodding off.
The video is from January but you get the idea. We come home, get some food in the boys and down they go. Sometimes not even that long. The picture was this month and he really did fall asleep standing up like that.
