Nai Nai's visit

We had our first visitor since we moved in, my mom. She came and stayed with us for six days. I should also mention that we didn't tell the boys who was coming til the night before since we didn't want to listen to "is she coming yet?" So the morning mom flew in, I packed up Matthew and William and we headed for the airport. I had them guess who they thought was coming while we drove. While driving I noticed a airplane coming in to land. I knew that that was her plane since I looked at the arrival schedule before I left. When we walked into the baggage claim she came around the corner to "surprise" us. They were excited to see her. William said "I knew it was you that was coming. My brain just thought of it." We had lots of fun spending time with her and showing her around. We had our traditional breakfast for dinner on Saturday along with fruit and whipped cream for toppings, walked around the mall, and played tourist.

I had a groupon (my first one) for a buy one get one free ride on the Sky Tram over the Spokane Falls. So we paid for one more adult and one child, since the younger two are still free. It was neat to see the falls so close. William as a bit apprehensive about going and held Eric's hand for most of the trip. It wasn't long, about 15 minutes total but it was fun to do.

We walked around the River Front Park and enjoyed being outside. We also took a train ride that took us through the park, though we walked most of it beforehand.

After a full day, this is what they looked like on the drive home. Sorry mom I couldn't resist.
Thanks mom for a great time! Come back soon!

Other highlights:
- Mom is an early riser so when William got up in the mornings she was there to greet him. He insisted that she play games with him and not just one but multiple games. She got really good at playing, Uno Attack, Ladybug Game and Blink. When she played Blink William handed her the instruction paper. She told him to just teach her how, his reply was "No I want you to read it and learn for yourself how to play that way you learn the right way."
- We ate out at a Korean "fusion" restaurant. We were a little apprehensive and even discussed getting some McD food for the boys before hand. However it was so good! Even William loved it! "That meat was very tasty!" The Bul go gi was very good as well as the Jap chae and fried rice. There was no need to head to the golden arch afterwards.

What a great surprise for the kids. I'll have to remember that in the future.

How fun! I love that picture of your mom. It really is too bad we don't live closer. It sounds like Willam loves games just as much as Hannah does. They would probably have a blast playing them together.
