Over Labor Day weekend we took the boys on their first road trip. Our family and Marie drove down to Utah to surprise my mom. We left about 9pm and arrived just before 9 am at my mom's house. The boys were wonderful during the ride. Matthew and Samuel slept almost the whole trip and woke up in Utah around 7 am. William slept off and on. We told William that if he went to sleep when he woke up we'd be at Nai Nai's house. So during the ride when he woke up at random times he would ask "are we are Nai Nai house yet?" The other thing he kept asking is "why do we need gas again?" Once we located mom's new home, we unpacked the boys, who had fallen back asleep, and placed them all on the doorstep, rang the bell and hid. Mom looked up first, expecting someone else then looked down and exclaimed "Jessica!" She was so happy. On Sunday night Eric and Marie made the long trip back to Washington. The boys and I are going to stay with my mom until Eric finishes his internship in five weeks or gets a job whichever comes first. While we're excited to be in Utah and hang out in this spacious home, we miss the Nielsens and most of all Daddy. Can't wait to see you!
