Odds and ends

Time has flown by. So here's a recap of what we've been doing.
-In March Eric quit his job at Teleperformance. He worked there for 6 months and finally had enough. It got to the point where he was asking for bathroom breaks and getting denied. Needless to say he doesn't miss working there. Though we haven't gotten a pay check since then he's happier and more positive.
-Since he quit we have taken two trips up to Washington. The first one for a week. Then after coming home and recovering from colds for a week we headed back up. The second trip was to go to the Columbia River Temple to see Papa being sealed to his parents. All 8 adult couples made the trip which took four hours. In the meantime we left 12 grandchildren with one AMAZING lady named Marie. Yep she watched all but one grandchild, who lives in Chicago, all by herself. And when we came back they were happy, feed and in one piece.
-In April Eric and I decided that he would go to grad school. With the difficulty of finding a good job, we felt it was time to do something else. Eric poured over school websites and programs. We kinda wanted to stay in the area for housing reasons but there wasn't a school/program that Eric felt good about. Then he found Eastern Washington University. It's a smaller school about 20 minutes south of Spokane. He liked their computer science program. After a little more research he applied to the school... and got in! It was the only school he applied for. We both felt good about it. He'll get in state tuition and it's about 4 hours from his parents. The program is about 2 years though he'll have to take prerequisite classes before he starts. We feel really blessed. We also got into the married student housing on campus. That was a bit more stressful cause we didn't know if we would get it. We heard from the school in two weeks but housing took 5. We ended getting a 3 bedroom townhouse on the side of campus that Eric will be going to classes. Have I mentioned that we have been really blessed? This whole process has gone pretty smooth and quick which we are grateful.
-With the decision to move comes the sorting and packing process. Which is where we are now. Thankfully we haven't unpacked our boxes from our last move so we didn't have to pack much more. We will be getting a Uhaul and driving up. Mama Mickey is coming down to spend time with Marie and help me with the boys while Eric drives the Uhaul. The plan is the leave on the 1st of June.
-In the misted of all this we have also managed to see some people. We saw Dr. Smith, my professor and mentor from U of U, Maisie Sackaguchi also my mentor from BYU and student teaching, Levin and Ansley, Faith Hung and her family. We also took the boys to the "Dinosaur Museum" in Lehi. They enjoyed it. Though next time we might send them with one parent since it was $10 for adults and $8 for kids over 3.

That's it. With days left we have more to pack and get ready. We have a few goodbyes to make, the hardest ones being mom and Marie. We have lived on the same property with family since 2009. It will be an adjustment to having to deal with the boys by myself. But I am excited to have our own place. We're excited to be moving on with life. We've been kinda in a rut since Eric graduated last June and now we're going again. This will be our third move in a year. Each time we felt guided in our path but more so now than previously. It will be an adjustment, with student housing and our first loans, but we feel it's for the better. The blog may go into "sleep mode" until things settle down.
