*** Disclaimer*** This is a long post. Feel free to skip it and enjoy one with pictures instead****
Ok so I'm a huge slacker. But in my defense it's hard to find time to sit down and write with three boys constantly going. So here's the rest of my grateful list:
- Our freedom. I fully intended this post to come out on Veterans Day but we ended up playing as a family and that was more worthwhile than blogging. I am very grateful for the men and women who serve to provide us with the freedoms we enjoy and often take for granted. I'm also thankful to their families for their sacrifice.
- My Church/Faith. Gosh what would I do without the knowledge that I have of the restored church on earth? Lost. Totally. The blessings I have received from it continue to mount and I am forever grateful to have the gospel as my foundation in life.
- Working vehicles. As I watch the snow fall outside my window I'm grateful that we don't have to walk everywhere to get things done. Though our van is older, it works and can take us all safely from place to place.
- My bed! Because there's nothing like falling into your own bed after a long day.
- Veggie Tales. These cute shows with good morals allow me 30 minute of peace throughout the day. Specifically I'm grateful for the Silly Songs collection that Samuel sits through every time.
- Star Wars. Ok I admit it I'm thankful for Star Wars too. Because my boys sound sooo cute when the break out and start humming the theme song! Even Samuel knows it! And what boy isn't cute dressed up like Yoda?!
- Star Trek. Cause darn tooting Star Wars doesn't get it's own mention without Star Trek! I will always be a loyal fan even if I have to go it alone in my family.
- Friends. I have made some great friends here in Cheney. They have helped me adjust to life here, taught me things, laughed with me and just made my life so much more blessed. Thank you.
- Preschool. One day William was so excited for preschool that he was dressed in his coat, socks and shoes and ready to go an hour early! I'm thankful to the moms who teach him and make his learning so much fun.
- My DAD. Today marks his two year passing. I still miss him. Very much. I'm grateful for all the lessons he taught me. For the example he set for me to follow. For all that he has done for me. Love you daddy.
- My In laws. I have THE best in laws in the world! I'm not just talking parents but siblings too. My mother and father in law (though I never think of them in that way, but just another set of parents) have done so much for me and my family. I can't thank them enough. And for my siblings. We have so much fun together and laugh and learn together. Seriously the memories we make will live on. Like: When you're going down the wrong road just Turn Around! :)
- Books. We still have three boxes of books yet to unpack but no place to put them. I'm grateful to know how to read and to be able to instill the joys of reading in my boys.
- Temples. On this day 7 years ago my husband and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the Laie Hawaii Temple. I'm grateful to be able to go to the temple to remember the promises I made with my Heavenly Father.
- Thanksgiving. For the tradition of gathering family to give thanks. For the food. For those that bravely blazed the trail for us to be able to celebrate this holiday.
I fully intended to finish the month but William has been asking to play outside for the last 30 minutes so I need to stop. I might get back and finish my list. Probability of that happening. zero. :)
