Since leaving Hawaii a year and a half ago, the boys have slept on the floor. They have been on either on a futon or mattress but always on the floor. Eric and I have been looking and debating over getting bunk beds and we finally broke down and got them.
We got them from Spokane Furniture while looking for a dresser. William's drawer broke and I was tired of seeing his clothes on the floor. So while I looked at the dressers Eric spotted the bunk beds. In the end we got one of each for a total of $450.01. Dumb pennies!
Anyway, Eric had to go back the next morning to pick it up which saved us $45. We had to take the car seats and remove all the back seats which was a pain, but in the end everything fit into the van and we were ready to start assembling. It was not too bad and the boys were entertained by watching Toy Story 3 on the computer. Putting the beds together took the entire length of the movie! We were putting the mattresses on when it finished. Talk about good timing.
William gets the top bunk and loves that it's his space. The younger two are not allowed to climb the ladder, so he's the only one who goes up. Matthew and Samuel share the bottom bunk. We still need to get a rail so they don't fall off. They boys look so grown up in their own beds! The bunk also opens the room up for them to play and yet still provides lots of places to play around.... Oh and you can also see the dresser we got. Hopefully they'll last a long time. Or at least til we can afford to get new ones again.. in like 20 years!

Waiting to say prayer. They all lined up and folded their arms, without any prompting! So cute!
