A New Year

I have about a dozen blogs that I read regularly. Lately I've been disappointed that people haven't been updating and adding new things to their blogs. Don't they know that I need new reading material!? Well in effort to give back to those few of you who do read our blog I'm adding some new reading/viewing material for you.

 This months' unit is on weather. We started off talking about different types of weather and how different locations have different weather ie the desert doesn't get snow. William cut out this cloud and raindrops for his weather words. I helped him with the shapes and with spelling and he did the rest. We're also tracking the weather on a graph but so far it's been cloudy, snow and cold. William enjoys looking out the window each morning and announcing "Yep it's going to be another cloudy day."

 I left the boys to entertain themselves one morning and came down to this.

William and Samuel were playing a game so nicely! William was even letting Samuel win some.

Matthew has Superman pjs and loves them. Some days he wants his cape on to be real Superman. And no super hero is complete without a hat! (He's never seen the Superman movie but knows he's strong and that's all that matters to this 3 year old)

 

We got pattern blocks for Christmas and I broke them out one day and let the boys play. I didn't tell them what they should do they just grabbed a board and started creating. Even Samuel could do it! His weren't perfectly aligned but he got all the shapes on the board.

After an hour of playing Matthew and Samuel needed something else to do. William still wanted to play and made an army with the blocks.

Ok well this post took a month to write!! Sorry. Hope to do better as the year goes on but you never know.
