Unifix cubes

I love Unifix Cubes. I loved working with them as a student, as a teacher and now am a proud owner of my very own set of 100! They are so versitile and great for the boys. Not only are they great for counting, sorting, patterns and a whole bunch of other things, they also help to build the boys motor skills since they're working with small items.

Matthew started off with just a two color pattern.

Samuel had to locate all the white pieces. 

I got Matthew to do three color pattern but he would only repeat the pattern once. 

Note to self: He couldn't build pattern going across, only up and down. Interesting. 

Of course the Unifix cubes are also great for making Light Sabers. Each of the boys made their own, in their color. The following pictures were not staged and were taken in sequence.
