S'mores with Peeps!
As per tradition the younger kids get a head start at the Easter Egg Hunt. Samuel knew just what to do and look for and took off as fast as he could!
Matthew and William weren't far behind him.
One funny note: about half way through as Matthew picked up his eggs he would shake them. If he didn't hear anything in them ie candy or coins, he would put them back and move on to find more! The ones he left behind were filled with play dough or small toys. He just wanted the candy filled ones!
"I can't reach Daddy!"
In all the boys collected 114 eggs out of a possible 320! Thanks to Aunt Dee for filling each of them!
Of course with all these working men around Papa wanted to make sure some things got done around the property. The main one being was the cut some trees down and use the chipper on the smaller branches as well as chop up the big ones to use for firewood.
Matthew and Samuel got to ride with Papa on the backhoe for a good long time. I asked them if they wanted down and they both refused to be moved. Eventually the movement and vibration of the backhoe lulled Samuel to sleep. Papa was happy to hand him over since he was complaining that his leg was asleep.
