Samuel's 3rd Birthday

Our little man is 3 and growing fast! As per tradition Samuel got to pick which balloons he wanted. He chose Mickey Mouse, "Amer flag" and the black star. There's not much that's soft and subtle  about this little boy!
See Eric's arm on the right? He was keeping the older two back so that Samuel could get first look at his new toys. Since it was Star Wars all the boys were interested. We still have fights over them and have to remind them whose toys they belong to.
I love this picture. He disregarded the balloons and money and just wanted to hear the card "sing."

While at the store I asked Samuel what he wanted for dinner for his birthday. He immediately said cereal. It probably had something to do with the fact that I just turned down the cereal aisle. He went down the aisle, found a box and put it in the cart. This is what he wanted for dinner and no amount of suggesting or bribing would change his mind.
As luck would have it, Samuel wanted a Mickey cake. Like with Matthew, I saved all the cake toppers from last year so I was happy that I could reuse the items again.
Samuel stats:
-77% for weight, 28% for height.
- He still favors whinning and screaming as a form of communication but slowly we're working our way out of that phase.
- Of the three, he is the more serious one but has his moments of silliness. He loves to play with his brothers yet enjoys "alone time" as well.
- Can undress himself and put his pants on.
- Still sucks his two thumbs but only when sleeping.
- Is a good student. He loves to do his letters and numbers along with Matthew. He also loves reading time, one time he read for 25 mins by himself!
- At times he is the most polite kid around. He raises his hand when we ask the boys a question "Who wants to go shopping?" Hand goes up "Me me me!" Or during school time when I ask if any one has a question he raises his hand "oh oh oh" Yes Samuel? Blah blah blah. I think he just likes to raise his hand.
- Samuel is a Mama's boy. He loves to me around me and ask "what you doing mommy?"
We love you Samuel!
