We enrolled all the boys in swimming lessons from July 15-July 26. William was in Level 1 and Matthew and Samuel were in Preschool 1. The nice thing was that the classes were at the same time so we didn't have to go back and forth for each lesson. The lessons were 30 minutes long and the boys did a great job! They'll be going again the end of August after baby arrives. Oh and our camera broke on the first day of class so we had to go buy a cheap camera to get pictures, thus the quality stinks but at least we got something.
William kept wiping his face every time he got wet so we borrowed the goggles from the pool and let him used them for the second week. He did much better at getting his head wet after that. The younger two wanted to use goggles too but that only lasted for half of one lesson before we had them take them off. They just didn't know how to leave them alone.
Everyone got to go off the diving board twice during the sessions, William got to go three times. The above pics are from the first time they went.
These two pics are from the last day of lessons. The one above scared us all a bit. Samuel went first off the diving board for his class and the last time he went you can see that he was dropped into the pool. Well this time he jumped but his short arms can barely go around the noodles. When he hit the water he let go of them and Max barely managed to grab his leg as he went completely under the water and started going down. Samuel came up wide eyed and not sure what happened. He didn't cry but man it made my heart skip a beat!
Matthew jumped off and did great! You can see Samuel's noodles floating in the background.
For the first four days, every time Samuel got into the water he would cry. We're not sure if the water was just cold for him or what but without fail he would get in and start crying. He didn't cry long and his teacher Heather got him to stop by letting him hold onto Mr. Ducky when they weren't using it. By the fifth lesson the crying stopped and he was having a good time. Oh and we also had to split Matthew and Samuel up so that there was a girl between them. They kept pointing to each other and not listening and did better with some distance between them.

These pictures look good to me. Sometimes simple is best. I liked seeing your other summer pics, too. Isn't summer great?
Nora just finished her first year of swimming lesson, too. She wasn't nearly as scared of the water as I always remember being.
I liked looking through your other summer pictures, as well. Summer is a great season to have little kids.
