My mom wanted to widen the drive way so that there was more room to park. When they were ready to pour the cement, the boys eagerly took their positions and watched it happen. They loved seeing how the process worked.
Of course you can't have wet cement and not leave your mark on it. At our old house in Hawaii, mom and dad leveled out the driveway and curb so Jake and I wrote Hsu in English and characters and the year. This time having the kids around we let them leave their mark.
The end result
We left a spot for Jonah but he didn't want to touch it. So we got 3 of the 4 grand childrens' hand prints. It'll be fun for them to look at it as they get bigger.

i love that samuel's is so tiny! what a great idea--the kids can see how little they were as they grow older.
