We started a new thing as a family. During the week Eric is super busy with school work and grading. Some days we see him at dinner then right before bedtime. While the boys have been good with giving him time and space, they do miss spending time with him. So we came up with Fun Friday. As long as he doesn't have any projects due Friday night, Eric makes himself available to spend time with the boys. But we didn't just want to just sit and stare at each other. We plan to do fun activities with the boys. For our first Fun Friday we had a movie night. Eric rented Real Steel and after dinner we all snuggled on the couch to watch. The boys LOVED it!! Even Samuel was cheering during the fights! It was really funny. What boy doesn't like robots and fighting? Before the movie was even over William was asking to watch it again. About midway through the movie, we dished up some ice cream and got the boys in jammies. They got to stay up a little passed bedtime to finish the movie. It was so fun. We hope all Fridays will be this enjoyable.
