Apple picking

Before school started for Eric we made a trip to the Green Bluff Growers to pick apples. It's still early in the season but we just wanted to experience apple picking for ourselves. We drove about 45 minutes north and stopped at the Cherry Shack. The apples we picked were Red Gravenstein. We picked only one bucket and off of one tree. The boys had fun. William picked which ever ones he could reach, ripe or not, Matthew needed more help but enjoyed it, and Samuel liked the small ones and taking them off the ground. We ended up with about 13 pounds worth which was a full bag. At 55 cents per pound it came out to $7.55. It was a little out of the way but it was fun and there are lots of other farms in the area that grow a variety of produce throughout the year. We hope to go back again.
