First day of preschool

A small group of moms from our ward at church have formed a preschool group. There's 9 children ages ranging from 3-5. William is one of the older kids. As such some of the topics/lessons will be easy for him ie letters, sounds, numbers, shapes etc. It's held Monday and Wednesday from 9:30- 11:30 at one of the moms' home. We rotate hosting/teaching and have a helper. Monday morning William asked me at 7am "Can I go to school now?" He was so excited. He had his backpack on all morning and I had to persuade him to take it off so we could eat breakfast. After I dropped him off I ran some errands while Eric stayed home with the younger two. This will only last until Eric starts school so I took advantage of not having to drag them everywhere. When I picked William up I asked him what he learned at school. "I can't remember a single thing." This coming from our kid with an amazing memory. During lunch prayer he said "I'm thankful that I get to go to school and learn things."
Another benefit is that Matthew will be starting speech therapy soon. If I can time it right I can have William at preschool and then have the therapist come to the house while he's gone. That way there's less distractions in the house. However it works it will be a learning and growing experience for all of us.
