While my mom was in town Eric and I went out for a "shopping date." On the way home from the store we stopped by a yard sale and Eric found a fishing pole for $12. He was anxious to try it out. So we bought a fishing starter kit from Walmart and a fishing license. We took the boys to Fish lake hoping that it's name would bring us good luck. When we got there we found that the banks were mainly bogs and there was only one small area where we could possibly fish from. Unfortunately there were already people fishing in that area. We walked a little further and found a small clearing and set to work.
We didn't catch anything but had a fun time being outside. It was a bit hard to keep Samuel still. There were rocks all around so he didn't want to walk, not that he could go anywhere. Matthew was a bit bored waiting for the fish to bite. William enjoyed it but not the concept of being quiet and still. We hope to try again in a different area and when it's cooler.

how fun! we know what you mean about standing still. When we've tried fishing with the girls their favorite thing to do is throw rocks into the water...not so helpful.
